Jim Malcolm OBE
Jim has been passionate about photography since he was given his first camera, a Kodak Brownie, when he was 10 years of age. Now many years later he shoots his unique brand of images using Nikon cameras and lenses.
Jim’s work has been published in a wide range of media, including The Independent and The Guardian newspapers of the UK; The Panama Maritime Handbook (Seatrade Publications UK); Focus Magazine (Panama); JCB advertising material, as well as various books. He has held two recent exhibitions of his work in Panama and several of his images are on permanent display at the Interoceanic Canal Museum in Panama City
As a former diplomat Jim spent many years working overseas in a wide variety of countries. Most latterly was Panama where he retired as British Ambassador in 2006.
Nowadays Jim is based in his native Edinburgh but frequently visits Panama, a country he loves, on assignment.
